In 1979 Club Caribbean in St Anns Bay commissioned me to paint two large Jamiacan murals for their lobby. I lived on the property taking in all the energy of the island. One of the paintings was a 10ft x 12ft oil painting. I created a scene of wooden houses amongst the mountains, and waterfalls in the lush jungle vegetation. The other was a vertical market scene that stood 8ft x 4ft tall.
Additionally living in Jamaica with all the beauty, vitality, colors of mother earth inspired and filled my soul with a newness I needed.
After this project I was sent to 2 other hotels on the north shore and I painted watercolors and oil paintings for the rooms, restaurants and bar areas.
