Deerfield Beach – Exhibitors are coming from across the country, some from as far away as Arizona and Maine, for the 35th edition of the Festival of the Arts.
They will join many South Florida artists for the juried show, set for Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 24 and 25, along Ocean Way.
The festival, featuring 125 artists, takes place south of the International Fishing Pier, which provides a scenic background for the event, which includes continuous live music, a variety of foods, adult refreshments, a student art exhibit and a kids’ zone.
John Goldacker, an artist from Merritt Island, will be on hand to sign the poster chosen for this year’s show. The colorful and original piece of art will be sold at the Deerfield Beach Cultural Committee booth along with t-shirts and memorabilia from previous years.

Her works are found in hospitals, resorts, doctors’ offices and restaurants. She now also has hand-painted fabrics and will display some of her tunics, camisoles and pillows at the Deerfield event, along with some of her original, limited edition watercolors of Europe and the South Pacific.
Seitz says she likes the Deerfield festival for the location and the people who set it up. “They support the
